Integrators can now add monitoring, alerts, dashboards and a guest app to any Crestron Home or Crestron Custom project, with no extra server.

Eskbank, Scotland, 1 November 2026. Centro, from LCD, today announced that Centro System Manager for Crestron is generally available. It's building management software that runs on site, on the Crestron 4-Series processor already in the rack. Integrators can use it to manage the rooms, spaces and sub-systems of a whole building, without adding a server or another vendor to the project.

Hotels, managed residential buildings and commercial sites all need someone to look after the building once the Crestron install is finished. Until now, that has usually meant a separate platform, separate hardware and a separate contract. System Manager puts that layer on the processor itself, so building management becomes one more line on the Crestron proposal.

Free on every processor. System Manager is always free. It covers monitoring, notifications and administration, with email alerts and event history for every processor on site.

Licences add what a site needs. Each licence is perpetual and works on every release:

  • Manager Licence: location dashboards and schedules in the browser, across sites.
  • User App Licence: guests, residents and staff control their space from phones, tablets and touch screens through time-limited QR links.
  • API Licence: REST and MCP access for systems and stays, including links to property management systems such as Oracle OPERA Cloud, OPERA 5, Mews and Apaleo.

The Manager and User App Licences both include setup support from the Centro team.

"Every Crestron project we've worked on ends with the same question: who looks after the building now? We built System Manager to run on the processor the integrator has already installed. That way the answer is part of the system from day one, not another box and another contract." Neil Silver, Founder & CEO, Centro

Availability. System Manager is available now as a free download. Licence details are on the licences page. A dealer programme for Crestron integrators offers trade pricing. The full documentation is at docs.centro.network/system-manager.

About Centro

Centro is a hospitality and building technology platform from LCD (SI Sound and Light Ltd t/a LCD), based in Eskbank, Midlothian. Centro connects the systems inside a building (lighting, climate, access and AV) to the people who run them and the people who use them. Centro System Manager for Crestron brings that to Crestron installations on site, on the processor.

Crestron, Crestron Home and 4-Series are trademarks of Crestron Electronics, Inc.
